Upward
promotes character and self-esteem in every child by:

system that promotes equal teams and opportunities

practice and game each week
— Implementing a substitution system for
each team, allowing
every child equal playing time
— Creating the opportunity for every child
to learn the skills of the game Upward is more than a game.
Your child
will
have fun learning
or improving their sport specific skills through Upward. Participating
in this league will give your child a chance to experience good sportsmanship
on and
off the court. While playing or cheering for Upward Basketball, your
child willalso receive a special recognition after every game and have
the
opportunity
to develop
new friendships.
Early Registration is going on now and ends on Saturday, October 11, 2008.
The cost of $100 includes your child's uniform, Scripture learning CD,
car magnet, and end of season award. After October 11th, the price will
increase to $125. You may pick up forms during our services on Sunday
mornings, at the church office, or print one from the website. Checks can
be made
out to Sylvan Way Baptist Church. Practice will begin in early December,
games begin Jan 10, 2009, awards celebration on March 7th.
Everyone must
attend ONE evaluation!
They will be held at the former Bremerton Junior
High School on Wheaton Way next to Albertsons. It only takes about
30-45 minutes.
