JOURNEY– the Contemporary Service at Sylvan Way Baptist Church

Meeting Sundays at 9am

Here’s What You Can Expect:
It’s all about Jesus Christ and His kingdom, and so is JOURNEY.  We believe that life is a journey to be lived and that it’s better lived with Jesus Christ. 

This is a place you can come as you are. If you have kids, they’re going to be safe; they’ll also have fun and hear about Jesus.  There’s going to be a band (you can either sing along or just listen to the music). We love to worship our God.  We’re going to pray.  There will be a message that is truthful and relevant to you so that you are encouraged to apply it to your life and to be part of what God is doing. 

This is a place where you can…Belong: You are accepted by us unconditionally. You are loved, you belong.Believe: God will stir your heart to believe His truth (John 14:6) and…Become: And as you believe, your life will be transformed from the inside out by God’s Spirit. That’s His promise! 

How Can You Respond? Here are some choices:

1. YES!
I’m saying “yes” to following Jesus Christ.  I realize that I am a sinner in need of forgiveness.  I’m starting-or restarting-letting Jesus lead in my life.  This changes everything!  This is a big moment in my life!

2. I’M IN!
JOURNEY is where I belong.  No more church “dating.”  I’m putting a ring on it!  Now – what’s next?

3. I NEED A MIRACLE!
…and I need it now!  I need healing. I need help. My own way is not working anymore.  I need someone to pray with me and walk along beside me…now!
