Elders

The Elders meet twice a month to attend the spiritual needs of Sylvan Way and her church family. The Elders visit with members when they are sick, hospitalized, and those who request prayer. The Elders provide spiritual guidance to the church under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

The Elders also serve communion, interview people for church membership, and assist in services.

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
